Dots Magazine: Featuring New York City
ArtblogNY.com is very excited to report that I will be writing an article for the upcoming issue of DOTS Digital Art Magazine, featuring the New York City contemporary art scene.
For those unfamiliar with DOTS, it is an interactive iPad magazine, in the genre of Wired or Wallpaper, and discusses contemporary art internationally. The iPad app can be downloaded on iTunes where issues can be purchased.
Dots Magazine is doing it right. The zine combines cutting edge graphic and interface design, interactivity and rich media content (video, audio), and covers creativity, looking globally, but from a local perspective.
Based in Haarlem, The Netherlands, the founder and editor in chief, Shevia Limmen studied video design at School of Arts Utrecht and also runs Studio LocoMoco, a creative studio and gallery space for contemporary art in the center of Haarlem.
If you think that you have something going on in NYC that I should cover in this article— your work, an exhibition, a studio visit— please contact me and send me an image and/or description of your work.
